Trail Description: Holcomb Valley is an easy trail that winds through Historic Big Bear’s gold country. The trail is mostly flat service roads so you will be able to get familiar with driving in the snow and hang out with some really great people.

Equipment Required: 4 wheel drive, shovel, tow points front/rear on your vehicle, jack with spare tire, the same size tire or no more or less than 1" different in size. First aid kit, fire extinguisher. A good condition spare is required. Working CB mandatory!!!
Permits Required: No, but it’s always a good idea to have an Adventure Pass. Annual $30 or day $5, available at most sports equipment stores as well as Ranger stations and Discovery Center
Communications: CB Channel 4. HAM channel 146.550 MHz (SIMP2)
Reminder to Bring: Bring sunscreen, lunch and extra water, chairs, basic tools, shovel, camera, extra clothing, etc. Plan for the weather…

Weather: If it’s raining or snowing the trip is canceled.
